The Friends of Griffin Wood is a community group of volunteers who work to celebrate and care for Griffin Wood.

The group, formed in April 2007 when the new woodland was planted, works in partnership with the owners of Griffin Wood, Community Forests North West. So far the group among its many activities have held tree and bulb planting events, helped build the site’s bird hide, and sown wildflower seeds (pictured) to create the lovely blooms enjoyed over the past few summers.

New faces are always welcome, so if you fancy coming along to the next event, keep an eye on the home page for details of what’s coming up, get in touch or sign up to the Griffin Wood mailinglist.
