Back in 2000 there were thousands of trees planted to celebrate the millennium through the Trees of Time and Place Project; these were grown from seed by people in the Forest area.
One of the most frequently asked questions is "I have grown a tree but I do not have anywhere suitable to plant it."
Many people are still growing trees or have trees they would like to go to a suitable home. There are many tree planting sites which can be used for donated trees.
If this is your problem then contact The Mersey Forest Team - there are a number of sites across The Mersey Forest that are suitable for a range of different trees or we can put you in touch with a local Ranger Service or Local Authority Tree Officer to help, to ensure "the right tree is planted in the right place".
update: The tree planting season is from November through to March, this is the best time to find a new home for your trees.
