Walk on the wild side

There's nothing quite like a walk in the woods. Whether you are looking for a leisurely stroll or a more ambitious hike, The Mersey Forest provides an ideal setting for recreation and exercise.

The Forest area is not restricted to a single site, rather it spans over 465 square miles across Merseyside and North Cheshire, and includes a wide network of well-maintained paths and trails, from leisure hot spots to undiscovered gems. Woodlands, grasslands and wetlands have been created as places to explore by visitors and the local community. Whatever the season, woodlands make fascinating places to enjoy for everyone from bird watchers and wildlife enthusiasts to cyclists and joggers. Take a walk on the wildside; The Mersey Forest is waiting to be discovered.
