Our work - Economic growth

Image 1
economy.pngThe Mersey Forest makes an important contribution to the economic development of Merseyside and North Cheshire, providing a green setting for new growth.

New planting and woodland management makes a significant contribution to strengthening the local economy through creating attractive settings for housing and businesses. We're also encouraging tourism by helping to create new visitor attractions such as the Forest Parks. The economic benefits of trees and woodlands aren't always recognised, and we're trying to change that through our green infrastructure valuation work.
