Green Infrastructure Jobs Research
We worked with Liverpool Vision to commission an assessment of Green Infrastructure (GI) related jobs in the North West.
The work has two elements:
- Firstly, it establishes a baseline of the number of GI Jobs in the North West. There are around 46,000 full time equivalent GI jobs in the region, with 6,400 in the Liverpool City Region and 5,500 in Cheshire and Warrington.
- Secondly, it makes a forecast of the number of jobs that could be created and/or safeguarded as a result of targeted capital and revenue investment.
Thanks to the work, carried out by Regeneris Consulting, we have a reasonable picture of the number of jobs in our region that are related to green infrastructure, and we know how this sector of employment could be grown in future. The work is intended to be used as a basis for informing the development of proposals for support under future economic development programmes.
