Our work - Water management

Image 1

Nature Based Solutions can alleviate flooding, drought and water quality decline. Planting of trees in the right way and in the right place can reduce flood risk, particularly when planting is linked to attenuation measures – such as leaky dams built from locally sourced timber..
Our work is contributing to flood risk alleviation and water quality improvements as part of a catchment systems engineering approach to restore the natural catchment hydrology function. We are developing nature based solutions to flooding in Liverpool City Centre, St. Helens, Ellesmere Port and elsewhere.
