Free magical family day out this weekend
The Elf & Fairy Fair

Join us for a free magical outdoor family festival this Saturday (22nd Sept) at Sutton Manor Community Woodland in St.Helens.

From midday to 4pm, boys and girls can enjoy storytelling, woodland workshops, tipis, fairies on stilts, face painting and more.

Children can come dressed up as mythical woodland folk, or make their costume throughout the afternoon - using natural materials to create crowns and wands, bracelets and wings! And if you dare, ascend to the woodland's highest peak to consult the towering oracle known only as Dream...

Tickets to Chester Zoo up for grabs by voting for your favourite woods
Vote to win

Add your favourite local trees and woodlands (and the places where you'd like to see more trees planted) to our people-powered map by the end of Friday (21st Sept), and you could win a pair of tickets to Chester Zoo.

The interactive map will help shape The Mersey Forest Plan - our blueprint to create more woodlands and street trees across Merseyside and North Cheshire.

As well as adding your own suggestions on the map, you can also vote for other people's ideas, and see which woodlands have made it into the area's top five favourites.

Cast your vote now (competition ends after Friday 21st Sept).
