You can help grow The Mersey Forest in lots of ways. But one really simple way is to plant a tree.
This year we're handing out trees for people to plant at home, if there is space, at a number of events taking place across the region.
We have provided a guide to help you plant your trees in a place and in a way that ensures that it can grow and thrive, helping to lock up carbon and provide a home for wildlife.

We would love to see where you have planted your tree. Upload a picture of your planted tree on Facebook or Twitter and tag @merseyforest in your post.
Across The Mersey Forest millions of trees have been planted over the past 30 years.
You can visit some of these woodlands and find a new spot to enjoy a walk or cycle, or even a run.
