Individuals and communities

There are lots of ways to get involved and make a difference as an individual or member of the community, depending on your interests and what time you have available.

Help us to grow a culture of trees, woods and other habitats in your community by getting involved in some of our projects, supporting our work or simply enjoying your woods and greenspaces in the area.

You may want to plant some trees in your garden or neighbourhood or get out and meet people in your community whilst taking care of your local environment. Or you could explore your local woods and improve your health and wellbeing by getting outdoors.

By signing up to our newsletter and following us on social media you can keep up to date on opportunities to get involved.  You can also support our work by making a donation to The Mersey Forest Foundation.

Tree establishment in your neighbourhood

We have funding available to plant and establish trees, woods and other habitats across Cheshire and Merseyside, and can work with community groups to help achieve their ambitions for their neighbourhoods. Take a look at the funding and resources available, and get in touch to find out more.

Highlight where you’d like trees planted

If you would like to see more trees and woodlands created in your area we’d love to hear from you. You can highlight where you’d like more trees to be planted on our tree atlas. Simply add a pin to the map and complete a few simple details. Our team will follow up on any suggested locations to see if it is possible to add trees in that location.
